History

  • 1900  The company was founded in the year 1900 in Zurich by Mr. Huggenberger.
  • 1923   The company was commissioned for the first time to provide the instruments for the Schräh dam in Switzerland.
  • 1924   The First Tensometer was released.
  • 1925    Experimental Strain Analysis, and manufactured resistive gauges.
  • 1941    Produced Oxygen marks for the Airforce.
  • 1948   10th Dam Instrumentation completed.
  • 1960   Production of Defrometer started, also produced Accelerographs.
  • 1965    In less then 100 years of its inception we completed instrumentation of the 100th DAM.
  • 1966    Coordiskop model KK66 and Telerockmeter TRM were launched.
  • 1967    Thermometer TC production was started .
  • 1968    Sixties saw the expansion of company and we launched yet another product Clinometer CS.
  • 1978    We were kept instrumenting and saw 200th DAM instrumented in 1978.
  • 1984    New model of Coordiskop Model KK84 was launched.
  • 1986    Messcomputer μP-7 – Telemeasuring system Generation-1 was launched
  • 1990    Telelot VDD2 was launched 
  • 1992     Tensologger TL – Telemeasuring system Generation-2 was launched
  • 1993     Auto Centering Device ACD were added to design and newer version of system was launched
  • 1994     Replaceable Load cell PRE-U and Telelot VDD2R was launched

  • 2000    Celebrated 100 years of Instrumentation with over 450 DAMs
  • 2010   
  • 2018     From begin 2018 Huggenberger AG is a part of Sisgeo Group, with the mission to continue the development and production of high-quality instruments for dams and engineering structures.

  • 2021     30 years after original Supply Sardar Sarovar DAM in India was revived
  • In the meantime more than 450 different engineering structures have been equipped with safety instruments from Huggenberger AG.
